I have a very modest student in Turkish. If I don’t ask her to repeat the word, she is completely silent during the lesson. Sometimes she will try to give the right answer in a low voice.
Children love games, so I prepared a “Guessing Game” for this child and started waiting for the child to become active.
She came to a new lesson and had so much fun that I didn’t recognize her anymore.
She named one, two, three words…
She wanted to be in the first place and guessed ten out of ten words.
However, in the first week, she could barely raise her voice.
She seemed to be learning but was reluctant to reveal her knowledge in front of others.
